In the world of Gaia, a war between two nations divides the people. A toad-like queen plans to invade the surrounding area's of her kingdom, Alexandria.

A band of thieves, known as Tantalus head to the Kingdom of Alexandria, posing as a theatre troupe who will perform a play, but their real plot is to kidnap Princess Garnet. Secretly, Garnet plans to run away on the night of the performance on board the theatre ship.

Little did she know that the people aboard the ship were planning to kidnap her on the same night.

After sneaking into the palace, Zidane, a member of Tantalus, and a womanizer, spots a girl in a white cloak and is instantly drawn to her....
