Our story begins several years ago....

On a Floating Continent, high above the world below, a civilization of technologically advanced people wanted to harness the power of the Four Elemental Crystals of Light. However, they did not realise that the Crystals power was too strong for them, and the power of light was soon to destroy the world. When all seemed lost, the Four counter-parts of the Crystals of Light appeared: The Crystals of Darkness.

The Dark Crystals called forth 4 warriors to contain the light and restore balance to the world. Once harmony was returned, the 4 warriors made their leave, but it was too late to save the doomed civilization. Their way of life was destroyed, but the Floating Continent remained......

The last people on the continent, a group of prophets, foretold that the events of the past shall soon repeat. The power of Darkness will soon be abused, and 4 Warriors of Light will need to be summoned to return the Balance to the World.

Now, a mysterious earthquake has opened up a previously hidden cavern in Altar Cave near the village of Ur on the floating continent......
